Position Summary

We are seeking a dedicate professional to join our team in the role of a Material-Inventory Handler. The processes in the department includes include data entry and maintaining efficient inventory records in order to provide regular cycle counts. The ideal candidate will ensure orderly production and distribution of products by pulling orders from inventory, delivering production materials and supplies where needed and complete accurate inventory counts at all times. The Material-Inventory Handler will maintain inventory by identifying, labeling, and keeping materials and supplies in stock, recording location of inventory, and reporting shortages.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Implement and maintain systems for efficient material handling and storage.
  • Operates forklifts, hand trucks, pallet jacks, and other machinery to move materials around the factory's production sites and onto and off trucks. 
  • Locates materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on production orders. 
  • Experience in receiving, inventory control, counting materials, and stock materials. 
  • Prepare finished materials for shipment by identifying, pulling, packing, crating, stocking, loading, and securing product.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve any material-related issues or discrepancies. 
  • Accountable for overall organization and cleanliness of the storeroom. 

Education and Skills

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Basic computer skills and data entry experience
  • Knowledge of inventory control practices
  • Ability to maintain accurate counts of stock
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks
  • Forklift certification is a must

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of standing and walking
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time
  • Must be able to access all areas of the facility
  • Must be able to stand, bend, squat, kneel, reach overhead, push, pull, walk, and stand for long periods of time
