Hourly - Non Union
This individual will work within a team to ensure product conformance and will report to the Quality Manager. The individual must be skilled in using inspection, measuring and test equipment and expected to electronically report all identified defects via ERP to monitor and track the company’s performance with respect to the ‘Zero Defects’ company goal.
- Perform receiving inspection, in-process inspection, or final inspection throughout the production plant
- Conduct routine audits to check for proper inspection records throughout the plant
- Perform product testing of mechanical and electronic components to verify product conformance to customer requirements and industry standards
- Report all nonconformances and inspection results via ERP to monitor and track the company’s performance
- Identify and report any discrepancies found in Engineering Drawings
- Proactively analyze and track product returns for defects and investigate potential escape points in the production processes
- Assist on-going Quality department initiative of updating IATF 16969 and ISO 9001 production related procedures, work instructions and process flow maps
- Assist/Lead PPAP submissions as per AIAG guidelines to OEMs and other customers
- Actively participate in new product development and new supplier integration
- Collaborate with Product Engineering to develop process controls following FMEA reviews
