Rosco Exhibits for the First Time at the Fire Department Instructors Conference (FDIC) in Indianapolis
QUEENS, NY--(Marketwired - May 09, 2015)—Rosco, an automotive vision safety leader in backup camera systems, interior/exterior mirrors, and automotive camera recording, exhibited at FDIC in Indianapolis for the first time last month. Each year, experts, trainers, manufacturers, and suppliers in the fire industry gather at FDIC to introduce and discuss the latest technologies and advancements in the emergency and rescue world.
One of the highlights from FDIC was the 9/11 stair climb in the Lucas Oil Stadium. Firefighters strapped on their gear and climbed the equivalent of 110 flights of stairs to honor and remember the 343 FDNY members who gave their lives on 9/11. Surrounding the trade show, the conference included hands-on training sessions, both in and out of the classroom, allowing firefighters to test new equipment and show off their skills in mock emergency situations.
As a first-time exhibitor at FDIC, Rosco introduced new and innovative safety technology to the fire and rescue show. Rosco's Dual-Vision XC 2 + 1 automotive event recorder has the capacity to identify unsafe driver behavior through its ability to continuously record video and provide instant driver feedback. The Dual-Vision XC 2 + 1 AER is the most efficient windshield-based, three (3) cameras capable, continuous, and event recording device. It has 160+ hours of continuous recording capability and can precisely identify and save three types of events (G-Force, Speed, and Event Button). Now available with Wi-Fi downloading capability, the recordings from the Dual-Vision device automatically transfer to a designated server as soon as the vehicle comes in range of the Wi-Fi access point.
In addition to the Dual-Vision XC, Rosco displayed its integrated backup camera systems. Rosco's integrated third brake light backup cameras enhance safety during reverse operations by providing views of obstructions behind the vehicle. The STSC160, STSC161and STSC162 were designed to seamlessly integrate into the Sprinter, GM Chevy Express and Nissan NV (1500-3500) third brake light. The Nissan NV, Sprinter, and GM/Chevy work vans are used across many industries, including emergency, rescue, construction, transit, utility, and recreational vehicle markets. Fleet owners can appreciate Rosco's "Two in One" design, which eliminates the aftermarket look of most third-party installed backup cameras.
